Budget

Okay so some of us really dislike the word budget but it’s a very important word when planning an event. For some the sky if the limit, and for others a budget is completely necessary and some just love to budget! If the word scares you or you rather not bother, this is where your event planner can assist, and keep you on track.

There are a few ways that you can save a few bucks when planning an event that won’t hurt your pocket.

- Limit your guest list. I know this can be hard to do, but is sometimes necessary especially when trying to stay within budget. After all, it’s always nice to have those you cherish to be there to celebrate with you.

- Consider your wedding date. When choosing a date that is during peak season, more than likely cost will be higher. Consider off peak seasons and even some venues will be lower during this time.

- Consider a buffet rather than a plated dinner. Usually buffet is more cost effective and guest have the option for just more than what is offered in a plated meal.

- Consider a cash bar. As we know this Is a huge expense and most people do not mind a cash bar or they will opt not to drink. Do have other non-alcoholic drinks available.

- Consider having your event at an outdoor space/backyard if space allow. Keeps cost down and can be transformed into something spectacular.

- Consider having a dessert bar/cupcakes. For weddings you can do a faux tier and have the smaller tier for the bride and groom. Plus, it gives other dessert options.

Just remember that if you plan to have an Event Planner, include this in your budget as most people forget.
